Exova wins long term agreement with The Ulven Companies

Exova is set to provide mechanical, chemical and metallography testing services as part of a three-year longterm agreement with The Ulven Companies – a specialist in the provision of metal forging and foundry services to the oil and gas industry, alongside others. The work will be conducted at Exova’s specialist materials testing laboratory in Portland, Oregon.

Scope of Exova’s work

Rocco J. Moro, Vice President of Aerospace for Exova in the Americas, said: “Our team in Portland draw on our global expertise to support Ulven’s advancement of specialty forgings along with the steel castings manufactured by Wolf Steel Foundry.”

Under the agreement, Exova, a global testing group, will deliver a programme of fatigue, creep and thermal testing of wrought aerospace-grade alloys. Moreover, the company will use its services to support the development of The Ulven Companies’ future technologies.

Comment from Ulven Companies

Dan Ulven, President of the Ulven Companies, said: “We are pleased to have entered into this long-term agreement with Exova. Our customers span across multiple industries, each with their unique certifications and standards. The variety of standards and custom specifications presented to us is a challenge for most companies to address. I believe that Exova is uniquely positioned to take on these certification challenges, and with this agreement in place, I know that I can count on Exova to meet our evolving testing needs.”
