Atlas Knowledge wins Dolphin Drilling contract

Atlas Knowledge, a learning technologies provider, has been selected by Dolphin Drilling to deliver a new system which will manage the competence and training of its UK workforce.

Atlas CAMS programme

As part of the contract, Atlas will oversee the installation and development of its Competence Assurance Management Solution (CAMS) in seven vessels within a two year time period. In addition to the competency programme, Atlas Knowledge will also provide online training courses to personnel at Dolphin Drilling.

Atlas’ CAMS system allows companies to assess the knowledge and performance of individuals by tracking their levels of competence against national or company standards. The programme is able to keep a training record of each employee in a central hub and online cloud.

The CAMS provide a forum for communications and support and allows records to be accessed by staff from different locations around the world.

A practical solution to keep information up to date

Commercial Director at Atlas Knowledge, Kevin Short, commented: “Efficiency in all departments has become an increasingly important priority for oil and gas companies, especially when managing high costs and tight budgets. CAMS is the best practical solution for businesses who need secure and up to date information on their employees training qualifications and skill levels.”

Great benefits for learners

Learning and Development Manager at Dolphin Drilling, Katie Powell, said: “We are delighted to be working with Atlas Knowledge on this critical business project. We are excited about launching an innovative online solution that is robust and sophisticated enough to handle a high majority of our competence, training and learning needs. In time, this initiative will be of great benefit to the learner as well as being highly cost-effective and efficient for the organisation.”
