Together, the companies will continue to provide first class service and deliver to the highest standards set as global technology leaders in the manufacture of wire and fibre rope.

With ScanRope, the Bridon Group now employs over 1700 employees globally. Bridon was originally formed in 1924 from an amalgamation of wire rope producers, the earliest of which date back to the late 18th century. Bridon was acquired by Ontario Teachers Plan (OTPP) in November 2014 from Melrose PLC. Bridon now operates twelve manufacturing units worldwide with market focused technical and sales offices, supported by a global network of agents and distributors.
