Antelope Oil Tool has developed two additional centralisers to the CentraMax series, CentraMax RT1 and CentraMax PT1.
These one-piece centralisers are an alternative solution to centraliser subs in close tolerance applications. Designed for high-performance in some of the most challenging applications, these centralisers provide low Starting and Running forces inside tight tolerance sections, and strong Restoring forces to centralise casing string in under-reamed hole sections.
“The addition of the CentraMax design was an easy decision. The variety of designs allow for reciprocation and/or rotation of the casing string where applicable, depending on the desired application, to better serve our clients for their cementation needs.” said Bill Kelley, President and Chief Executive Officer.
The CentraMax RT1 is designed for both reciprocation and rotation type applications. This centraliser is always pulled when installed over an internal anchor or limiting device. The CentraMax PT1 is designed for reciprocating well applications, and is always pulled when anchoring devices are installed in the windows of the centraliser’s end collars. Both the RT1 and PT1 designs are suitable for applications with minimal annular clearances.
The CentraMax one-piece design presents superior mechanical integrity, high yield and tensile strengths, and eliminates the potential of failure of welds. The slip-on design can accommodate virtually any casing weight, grade and threaded connection types.
Kelley says, “This series will add value to our customers, because it offers a robust and economical solution for their deepwater well construction challenges of centralising casing effectively when passing through tight tolerances into larger well bores. Additionally, with our “to the pipe” solutions, we can offer a safer and more efficient environment for handling and running casing at the well site, by negating the need for a sub, that can add undesired length to a casing joint once installed.
