Qualitas Energy, a leading global investment and management platform with a dual focus on both funding and developing renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure, has announced the launch of Navaris, the new brand of its German renewable energy business.
Navaris brings together the renewable energy portfolio, project pipeline, teams, and operational capabilities developed in Germany through Qualitas Energy’s fourth and fifth flagship funds, Qualitas Energy Fund IV (QE IV), launched in 2020, and Qualitas Energy Fund V (QE V), launched in 2022.
The introduction of the new brand reflects the scale and maturity reached by the business since Qualitas Energy entered the German market in 2018, both in terms of pipeline growth and the size and capabilities of its team. This progress has established Navaris as one of Germany’s leading renewable energy developers and operators, with the company fully capitalised to deliver its business plan and well posi-tioned for the next stage of its evolution, underpinned by Qualitas Energy’s long-term commitment to the business.
Under the Navaris name, the company will continue to acquire, develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects across Germany, with a particular focus on onshore wind development and repowering, where it was one of the pioneers in the country and has built a strong track record. These activities support the continued expansion of renewable energy capacity and Germany’s energy transition.
Its portfolio comprises 1.3 GW of assets in operation or under construction, with a significant proportion expected to become operational in the near term, and over 3 GW of projects in advanced development within a larger early-stage pipeline. The company has also secured more than 500 MW in Germany’s onshore wind tenders so far in 2026, expects this figure to reach approximately 700 MW by the end of the year and is targeting a further 1 GW in 2027.
Navaris combines deep local market knowledge with integrated technical, financial, commercial and operational capabilities. The company covers the entire renewable energy value chain, from project origination, acquisition and development through financing, construction, and commissioning to long-term operations, asset management, and energy management. This integrated model supports a disciplined approach to capital allocation and project execution across the portfolio.
The company is led by Johannes Overbeck, who joined Qualitas Energy in Germany in 2023 as Head of Investment and has overseen the German business since January 2025. Its more than 200 professionals work across six locations in Germany – Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne and Stuttgart – ensuring proximity to landowners, municipalities, authorities, business partners and local communities. This regional structure enables Navaris to respond to local requirements and maintain close engagement with stakeholders across the country.
Johannes Overbeck, CEO of Navaris, said: “Navaris marks the next stage in the evolution of our German business, giving a strong and distinctive identity to the scale, capabilities and local expertise we have built. We have an established company, a mature portfolio and the resources required to execute our business plan with confidence. Navaris reflects our ambition to accelerate renewable energy deployment, our commitment to advancing Germany’s energy transition and our determination to create enduring value for our partners and stakeholders.”
