Aukera Energy has reached financial close on a 44 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project located across the municipalities of Quirnbach, Rehweiler, Hüffler, and Schellweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

The project has been structured under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), securing an EEG-backed tariff that provides long-term revenue visibility and supports the financing of utility scale renewable infrastructure. Project financing has been secured with Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB), one of Germany’s leading renewable energy lenders with a loan portfolio of nearly €20 billion in the sector as of 31 December 2025.

Pre-construction activities are already underway, with commercial operations targeted for early 2027. The project forms part of Aukera Energy’s broader German pipeline of more than 1 GW of solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets and marks the company’s fourth project to reach financial close in the country.

Kemal Keskin, Managing Director for Aukera Energy in Germany, commented: “This milestone marks our fourth financial close in Germany and reflects the continued progression of Aukera’s pipeline in a core European market. The combination of an EEG-backed revenue framework and an experienced lending partner supports a robust risk profile, reinforcing the bankability of our portfolio. Our focus remains on delivering projects through structured development, securing financing, and moving assets into construction on a repeatable, disciplined basis.”

Aiden Yates, Aukera’s Managing Director – Head of Structured Finance, added: “Our fourth financing in Germany, and second with DKB, represents an important step forward for our German platform. We are grateful to DKB for their continued confidence in our business and for the constructive partnership we have built together. We look forward to working together to accelerate the deployment of high-quality renewable energy and BESS projects across Germany.”
