Consortium partners Orascom Construction PLC, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and ENGIE, along with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and the New & Renewable Energy Authority, have signed a memorandum of understanding to build, own, and operate a new 3 GW wind farm in Egypt.
Power production from the first turbine in the floating wind farm Hywind Tampen in the North Sea has started. The power was delivered to the Gullfaks A platform in the North Sea.
Located in the municipality of Ljusdal, the 70 MW Riberget wind project will be equipped with 11 of Siemens Gamesa’s SG 6.6-170 wind turbines.
