Octopus Energy Generation’s match-making platform for wind energy identifies 2.3 GW of potential new British onshore wind energy that could be unleashed where people want it.

MunmuBaram, a joint venture between Shell and HEXICON AB, has named Vestas as the preferred turbine supplier for the 1.3 GW MunmuBaram floating offshore wind project in South Korea.

Six Vestas wind turbines (type V136) with a rated power of 4.2 MW will generate enough green electricity to cover the annual needs of more than 22 000 Italian households.

Iberdrola has begun commissioning of the Askio III wind farm, located in the town of Galatini, in the region of Western Macedonia, Greece.
