Jeanine Vany to become WING Ambassador

Eavor Technologies Inc. has announced that Jeanine Vany will become the new Women in Geothermal (WING) Canadian Ambassador.

Women in Geothermal (WING) is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to promote the education, professional development, and advancement of women in the geothermal community with the goal of 50% male membership. Founded in October 2013 at the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, WING is now represented in over 48 countries worldwide, with 14 dedicated Country Teams and is the single largest geothermal organisation outside of the International Geothermal Association. The Canadian Ambassador role is different for every country, for Canada in the near term, it means leading a small team of passionate people in uniting the geothermal research organisations and industry to support the technical advancement of the industry in Canada in an inclusive environment. There is a natural synergy to the role of the CSPG geothermal division where technical professionals come together to share knowledge on the geothermal industry. Jeanine Vany, Executive Vice President at Eavor Technologies Inc., is an APEGA registered professional geologist with a career spanning over 15 years in the oil and gas industry. Her experience ranges from reservoir characterisation, drilling and operations to full-field delineation strategies, asset management, and acquisition. In 2017, Jeanine began applying her expertise to analysing emerging geothermal plays and performing geothermal feasibility work globally.

Jeanine holds an Honours BSc degree in Geology and Environmental Studies from Saint Mary's University and a Business Essentials Certificate from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
