Half of new US electric generating capacity to come from solar
Developers added 12 GW of new utility scale solar electric generating capacity in the US during 1H25, and they plan to add another 21 GW in 2H25, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest survey of electric generating capacity changes.
