Econergy acquires onshore wind platform in France

This acquisition is Econergy’s first entry into the French market and is the company’s first operational wind project, backed by a team that has been building and operating wind assets for 37 years.

Escofi’s fleet sits in the strongest wind regions of Hauts-de-France and Grand Est, with over 90% of near-term capacity already secured under 20-year contracts for difference.

Alongside 147 MW in advanced development and 432 MW in the development pipeline, it is an experienced group joining Econergy and creates a platform Econergy and Escofi can keep building on together.

Econergy thanks the Escofi team for the partnership, as well as RGREEN INVEST, the company’s partner and shareholder for over a decade, for supporting the transaction, and Marathon Capital, KPMG, and Linklaters Paris for advising the company through to close.
