RWE has commissioned one of its largest onshore wind farms in Italy after a year of construction.

Eoliennes Méditerranée Grand Large, owned by the EDF Renewables and Maple Power consortium, has won the tender to design, construct, operate, and decommission a future floating offshore wind farm of approximately 250 MW off the French Mediterranean coast.

RTE has awarded a framework agreement to Jan De Nul, in partnership with Hellenic Cables, to supply and install the export cables for an offshore power grid to connect future floating wind farms off the coast of Southern Brittany in France.

Hitachi Energy has received an order from Ørsted to provide the power electronics technology to integrate 2.4 GW of renewable energy from the Hornsea 4 offshore wind farm into the grid.

Equinor has completed the acquisition of 10% of the shareholding in Ørsted A/S.
